When talking about famous marshes in the Kanto region, Senjogahara is a must-see.
I've been wanting to go, but I never had the chance.
Finally had a chance to be nearby so I stopped in.
Due to time constraints, we only visited the observation deck...

▼As it is a famous tourist destination, the parking lot was quite large.
Even though the leaves have fallen, it is still quite busy.
This is a sight that cannot be seen in any other marshland.

▼In addition to Senjogahara, there are also Odashirohara and Akanuma.
It seems to be quite large, so it would take a whole day to see it all.

Scenery from Observation Deck
It's quite spacious.
You can easily get here even if you are not physically fit.
I guess it will be something to stop by and take a look at while picking up souvenirs or having lunch.

It is also registered under the Ramsar Convention.

▼There is a nice signboard, so you can enjoy taking commemorative photos.

▼The boardwalk continues, but it only leads to a nearby road.

▼There was a detailed map at the parking lot.
It may seem like it would be a lot of work to walk around and see everything, but it doesn't seem too physically demanding.

▼It's so spacious.
I can't believe it's on top of a mountain.

▼There is a great selection of souvenirs available.
There are local specialties, sweets, alcohol, etc.
Of course, there is also a restaurant.

summary
I was afraid of the traffic jams on Irohazaka so I didn't venture to Senjogahara, but I'm glad I was able to stop by for a little while.
If you plan on coming during the normal season, you'll need to be prepared.
You may arrive late at night and spend the night in your car.
Next time I'd like to explore the whole place.
