2020.8.29 Awara Marshland and Sangetsike Marshland - Marshland in the depths of Shiga -

This is a quiet marshland located beyond the Ryuo Ski Resort in the Kitashiga Highlands in Nagano Prefecture.

There are few people here, so you can look for wildlife and enjoy the quiet marshland.

▼Park your car in front of the entrance and set off.

▼It's covered in grass and hard to see, but there are stairs.

▼First, let’s start with the Mikkake Pond.

▼It is surrounded by trees.

▼Although it is small in scale, it is a magnificent mid-level marsh.

Mid-level marshes are apparently rare in Shiga Kogen.

▼After walking through the forest for a while, it starts to get brighter.

▼It's narrow, but there is a boardwalk.

▼Maybe because of the season, there don't seem to be many flowers.

▼It has a jungle feel that you won't find in other wetlands.

Access is difficult and it is hard to walk within the marsh, but the appeal is having the marsh all to yourself.

Because there were few people, I was able to take my time looking for creatures.
