
I went to Oyako Marsh in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture.

▼We park the car and head out to the marsh.


▼There is a boardwalk that runs through the marsh, making it an ideal environment for nature observation.

▼At first glance, it looks like a dried-up marshland, but it appears that water is supplied from the nearby mountains.



Water springs out in abundance.

▼Although the altitude is 750m, this marsh is rich in marsh plants that live in the subalpine and alpine zones.
It is also known as the only place in Nagano where the Japanese laurel grows wild.
