居谷里湿原に行ってみよう!

This is a low-lying marshland located in Omachi, Nagano Prefecture.

It is located east of Lake Kizaki and north of Azumino.

Although it is located in the mountains at an altitude of 830m, it is close to town and easily accessible.

Equipment, stamina, and skills

▼There are few ups and downs, so you don't need much physical strength.

One loop takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

The trail is mainly made up of well-trodden walking paths, with some boardwalks allowing visitors to see inside the marshland.

▼The soil near the entrance is soft and can get waterlogged, so be careful if you are wearing sneakers.

Climbing boots or hiking shoes are recommended.

There is drinkable spring water.

About an hour from Azumino IC or Nagano IC.

Follow National Route 148, turn in front of Inao Station, and enter Prefectural Route 393.

Immediately after entering Prefectural Route 393, you will see a sign for Iyari Marsh, so turn right.

After a few minutes' drive down a narrow road you will arrive at the parking lot.

The road to the marsh is paved so it's easy to drive.

The parking lot is small and only fits 2-3 cars.
