This is a marshland in Omachi, Nagano Prefecture.
It is generally empty, probably because no flowering plants such as skunk cabbage bloom there.
Although it is not very popular, there is a lot of living creatures around, so it is also recommended for those who want to take photos.
It is characterised by clusters of Japanese quince trees which produce bright red berries in autumn.

It is about an hour from Azumino IC or Nagano IC.
If you get on Prefectural Route 55 from Shinano-Omachi Station, you will see a sign for Karahanami Marsh.
The parking lot can accommodate about 3 to 4 cars.
