▼We head from Oyami Marsh to the source of the Hime River.

▼After walking through the snow for about 10 minutes, we came to an open area.
Once you get here, you're close to the source of the Himekawa River.

▼The sun was just shining!
It seems like they are welcoming!

Snow-covered rest area

▼Arrived at the marshland!

▼There is snow everywhere except where the water is flowing.

▼The skunk cabbage hasn't even bloomed yet.

▼The snow gradually melts and creates patterns on the surface of the water.

▼The Himekawa River continues from here to Niigata and flows out into the Sea of Japan.

▼Even with so much snow, the moss remains lush and green.
What an overwhelming vitality!

▼ Footprints with claws

▼There are a lot of people leaving it there, so maybe it's a dog?

▼Snow was piled up on the trees that had fallen last year.
Repeating this process for years will cause it to decay!
