2022.4.12 落倉自然園-春先のベストシーズン-

I visited the Omachi/Hakuba area in early spring to enjoy the marshes.

We drove along the Chuo Expressway from Friday night and started our activities on Saturday morning.

Let's start with Ochikura Marsh!

▼There is snow piled up inside too.

▼I found a wild bird.

▼It looks like a jay.

The blue color of the wings is beautiful.

▼Head towards the marsh.

▼There is quite a lot of snow.

▼A jay's butt.

▼The skunk cabbage is in full bloom.

▼There were also lots of skunk cabbage buds, so they will probably remain in full bloom for a while.

▼The boardwalk is covered in snow.

▼They are sprouting one after another.

▼As you go further in, you will find a cluster of Asian skunk cabbage.

▼Warning sign for bears.

Has it woken up from hibernation yet?

▼There are so many skunk cabbages growing that it's impossible to count them.

▼The shrine also has a different atmosphere when covered in snow.

▼Another bear warning sign.

It may be that there will be a lot of them.

▼I saw a squirrel near the exit of the marsh.

summary

In early spring, Ochikura Nature Park was a paradise for skunk cabbage and skunk cabbage.

Although the amount of snow makes exploring difficult, it's definitely the best season!
