About the Mountain

About the route

Mizugaki Sanso → Mizugakiyama Nature Park Branch → Fujimi-daira Hut → Dainichi Hut Branch → Dainichi Hut → Dainichi Rock → Hachodaira-Kinpusan Branch → Sunahara-no-Toge → Kinpusan Hut Branch → Summit → Hachodaira-Kinpusan Branch → Dainichi Hut → Fujimi-daira Hut → Mizugaki Sanso

Equipment

Towards the end the ground gets quite rocky so it is best to wear sturdy hiking boots.

It can get windy when you reach the ridge, so you'll need cold weather gear even in summer.

Physical strength and skills

It is possible to do it as a day trip, but it takes more than seven hours of walking, so you will need to be physically fit.

The walking distance is longer than in places like Tanzawa.

There are some chain and rocky sections on the trail from the middle onwards, but nothing difficult.
