
This is a low-lying marsh in Omachi, Nagano Prefecture. It has an abundant amount of water and is home to many mosses. It is famous for the bright red flesh of the Miyama Umemodoki. The marsh is surrounded by forests. The forests are made up of coniferous trees such as red pine, larch, and cedar, as well as mixed forests including oak.
