Climbing record
I went to Hinokihoramaru in Kanagawa Prefecture.
It's easy even for beginners to climb, and there are lots of living creatures so it's a great course that offers a different kind of enjoyment to mountain climbing.
There are some areas where your shoes may get wet, so people wearing mesh hiking boots or sneakers should be careful.
It's a long walk through the forest and it would be too hot in midsummer, so it would be better to go in spring or autumn.
There wasn't much parking available so we arrived at 6:30.
Nishitanzawa Visitor CenterPark your car in the parking lot, follow the signs and you will find the trailhead on your right.
There are no toilets until the top, so it's better to go here.
▼ Park your car in the parking lot and start

▼It's the rainy season so the humidity is incredible.
It smells like the forest.

▼The humidity is high and it's foggy.
It's sad that it's hard to take pictures.

▼I came across a cicada in the process of emerging.
It was worth getting up early.

▼After walking through the forest for a while, we came across a river.
You need to cross here.
Because it had been raining, there was a lot of water, and I didn't want to get my shoes wet so early on, so I decided to take them off before crossing.
Then take a little break.

▼The signs and posters were threatening.

▼It may seem intimidating, but there are signs like this so it's unlikely you'll get lost.

▼It's basically a gentle forest path.
There are occasional steep climbs.

▼The more you climb, the more rocks there are.

▼Towards the end the path becomes boardwalk so it is quite easy to walk.

And then to the top!

There are about four wooden tables at the top.
This time, we reached the summit at 10am so we had the summit all to ourselves.
A few minutes down the road towards Hirugatake, you will come to Aogadake Sanso (Visit the site) is available.
On the way back, the fog obscured it so I was unable to take many photos.
Hinokihoramaru has few difficult spots and the walk through the forest is attractive because you have the opportunity to encounter a variety of creatures.
I would like to come back again during the azalea and autumn foliage season.
Hinodomaru was a great mountain!
