
We walked a long course starting from Ishiwariyama in Yamanashi Prefecture.
Basically, the views are great and you'll be hiking along with Mt. Fuji.
The elevation gain isn't much, but it's a long walk.
At this time of year, the cool breeze is pleasant and the pampas grass on Mt. Koza is at its best, making for a wonderful mountain trip.

Mountain highlights
The view of Mt. Fuji is great.
It's a prime spot for viewing Mount Fuji.
Summit

The summit of Shakushiyama.
The sun rises and we see a typical Mount Fuji.
It seems possible to climb directly to the summit here in a short amount of time, and the area was bustling with people.

In contrast to Shakushiyama, we had the quiet summit all to ourselves.

These are fairly long stairs at the trailhead of Ishiwariyama.
Honestly, this was the hardest part.

Ishiwari Shrine.
There is a huge rock that is likely the origin of the name.
You can get into the gaps in the rocks.

The view from the bottom of Mt. Koza. The road is clear and pleasant.
It was the season for silver grass, and the fields looked like gold.




Points to note
- Be careful on the rocky area on the route from Ishiwariyama to Shakushiyama.
