手倉森湿原に行ってみよう!

Teguramori Marsh is a marsh located in Funagata City, Yamagata Prefecture.
It has been designated as an Important Satoyama area by the Ministry of the Environment.

Touring the Marshes

There are no flowers to be seen in the marsh at this time of year.

Dogtooth violets and Japanese anemones were seen around the marshland.

The forest path continues gently, making it easy to walk.
There are no dangerous spots.

About the creatures that live there

According to the sign, it seems that the area is home to dragonflies.

You can also see plants such as toadflax and persimmon orchids.

In early spring, dogtooth violets and Japanese anemones could be seen.

History and origins

It was once used as a rice field, but it fell fallow and fell into disrepair.
